Fupa Lift Prioritizing Women Employment

Our company has joined the “Formal Employment Creation Project” implemented under the management of the World Bank by the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye.

The project protocol was officially signed on March 6, 2024, by our Finance and Accounting Director, Mr. Mehmet TULUK, and Ms. Ayşegül ÇERÇİ, Head of the Development Cooperation and Wholesale Banking Department, on behalf of the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye.

By prioritizing female employment, the project aims to help the industrial sector—which in recent years has faced significant challenges in accessing sufficient labor—overcome this crisis.

Organizing vocational training programs specifically for "housewives" who had not previously considered entering the workforce will help address the labor shortage in the industrial sector, while also contributing to the financial well-being of the women’s households.

True economic and social development can only be achieved through the participation of women—who make up 50% of our population—in the workforce. This strengthens women’s socio-economic standing both within the family and in society at large.

The participation and active role of women in employment are of great importance not only for sustainable development but also for improving the status of women. Women’s access to social and economic advancement is closely linked to their participation in the labor market. In this regard, we support and value the emphasis placed on “female employment” within the scope of the Formal Employment Creation Project carried out by the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye under the governance of the World Bank.

At Fupa Lift, the presence of women in our workforce is of great importance to us. Although we operate in the metal industry—traditionally a male-dominated field—breaking this pattern starting this year is one of our key human resources goals. We will continue to increase the number of female employees in both our office and production teams and actively support the participation of women in the workforce.
